We publish evidence-based guides on cognitive enhancement compounds — written clearly, without hype.
Cognitive Edge focuses on compounds that have real pharmacological mechanisms and peer-reviewed research behind them: modafinil, atomoxetine, the racetam family, and related agents. We don't cover herbal supplements or untested stacks.
Every guide draws on published research — clinical trials, pharmacology studies, and systematic reviews. Where data is limited or contradictory, we say so plainly instead of speculating.
The site is run by a small team interested in the science of human performance. We have no affiliation with pharmaceutical companies or vendors. Where we link to products, we say so explicitly.
We aim to distinguish between what the evidence shows, what users commonly report, and what is merely theoretical. Claims are graded accordingly. We update articles when new research warrants it.
Modafinil / Armodafinil — wakefulness-promoting agents with growing evidence for off-label cognitive use, primarily in sleep-deprived or narcoleptic populations.
Atomoxetine — a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor approved for ADHD, used off-label for focus enhancement due to its non-stimulant profile.
Piracetam & Racetams — the original nootropic class, developed in the 1960s, with modest but consistent evidence for memory and learning effects in certain populations.
Supporting compounds — Alpha-GPC, L-Theanine, and other adjuncts commonly combined with the above. Covered where the evidence supports discussion.
